While today’s post has a Christian orientation, I comment on just
about everything here, so below is my small commentary on the
Coronavirus.  I could go on for hours but I will be “sort of” brief.

We cannot cancel every event in our nation, or the world.  We will
have to be in the presence of our fellow humans at some point, no
matter what. Will we close restaurants, grocery stores and home
delivery of food? Unless I miss my guess, we would all die of
starvation. The result of what we are doing has caused the stock
market to tumble (getting close to a crash), and some businesses could
take years to recover.

I am one who is on the endangered list as far as Coronavirus, when one combines health and age. If I cannot physically go out, then I would do what is
necessary. Until then, our lifetime on this earth is too short to
hide. Near as I can tell, everyone in the world will eventually die.
These bodies don’t’ last forever.

This virus is one of many such we have had in my lifetime. Coronavirus
seems about average as far as scale.  Older people and those who’s
immune system is compromised are in danger, and the rest who might
contact the virus, will feel ill for a while and then move on. Most
will (if they want to) continue fairly close to normal.

The press, as is common these days, gets an F-minus grade from me. We will
remember this time as how “not to” handle such an event.

Now on to my intended subject.

We are in a critical time in history. We exist in a humanistic world
filled with both too much hate and too much self-righteousness.  At
times we all are afflicted with both maladies, but too many thrive on
it.

The nation of Finland is considering actions to ban Christianity.  Now
do understand this, over 70% of the population consider themselves
Lutheran.  Also over 70% of the population does not believe in God.

I am no mathematician but it is obvious that if the majority of Fins
are Lutheran, and the majority of Fins do not believe in God, then it must surely
follow that most Finnish Lutherans do not believe in God. Their church
is a habit, not a faith.  It is a (woke) road to political correctness
and socialized demagoguery, not a education in the Bible or a covenant
with God. Maybe a small g god (man and/or nature), but not God.

This  is not limited to the Lutheran church, or to the people of Finland..

The Word of God (the Bible) tells us of this day. Below you will find
Jesus’ proclamation to the Church of Laodicea of that time, and in
many cases, the church of today. I did not want to be so presumptuous
as to attempt to re-write this in a more simple form of English, but I
have included comments that will hopefully help.

Revelation 3:14-22

To the Church in Laodicea

14: And to the angel (pastor) of the church in Laodicea write: The
words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of
God’s creation (This is the final church addressed personally by
Christ).

15: I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you
were either cold or hot! (You cannot have a little faith, or worship
half way. It is all or nothing)

16: So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will
spit you out of my mouth. (The false church will be rejected by God.
It was true then and is true today)

17: For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not
realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. (
The church gloated over superficial success, and worshiped a false
god)

18: I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may
be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the
shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your
eyes, so that you may see.  ( Richness comes from worship of God. You
cannot buy Salvation with riches or with deeds. Only through the shed
Blood of Christ can it be attained)

19: As many as I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and
repent. (The Church of Laodicea and many of today’s churches need to
repent for their rebellion against God, and for following what are
merely human created fables)

20: Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice
and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he
with me. (It is difficult to truly hear His Voice, through the
superficial ungodly racket that is being made. If you do listen to
that Voice, you will be blessed by Him. He will join you.)

21: To him that overcomes, I will grant him to sit with me on My
Throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on His Throne.

22: He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the
churches. ( in other words, you must come back to Christ and the
Cross. The Spirit spoken of, is the Holy Spirit of God)

Just because what’s happening today has been forecast in the Bible,
does not mean we are supposed to stand by and accept it. We are not
told to capitulate or yield. Christians are commissioned to represent
Christ and His Cross to non-believers. The Book says that many will be
martyred. You will in fact, at least be hated and ridiculed by many.
That is going on as I write this article. In the Middle East, Asia,
Africa and in some respects even here in America and Europe,
Christians are being punished for their beliefs.  As horrifying and
often disgusting much of what we see in the world is to tolerate, I am
personally pleased to still be here to see it, and to comment on it.
The good news is, it will all work out in the end, for those who
choose Salvation.

While it might be “my way” to comment on the world at large and offer
up my opinions, if you would have told me ten years ago that I would
be offering up these opinions and writing about this subject, I would
have thought you loony.  There’s a reason for everything and I hope
each of you understand that all I want to see, is everybody experience
what I and many, many others have experienced.

No matter who you are and what you believe, you are being disingenuous
if you will not admit, that in America and around the world, we are
self imploding from a lack of basic morality, due to the denial of the
existence of God.

Today in America, polls show that the millennial generation is the
first in modern history, where the majority does not believe there is
a god of any sort.  (As an aside, I will tell you that they actually
believe that nature is god.) It should go without saying, that a
godless generation, will and does believe (by a majority) that
socialism (truly communism by what they believe), is their preferred
form of government. Yes, also by poll, most millennials consider
themselves socialists.

Even if you are not a true believer, it should be obvious, that those
who deny a moral deity, will eventually implode from a lack of
direction, and a lack of common morals.

There is plenty to be anxious and fearful of, but there is always even
more to be thankful for. God loves you and He is waiting (and
prodding) for you to join Him. Experience the sheer joy of the Loving
Power of God.

Spiritual death is worse than physical death. The Blood of Jesus can
Save and cleanse you from spiritual death.  He has overcome the world.
Accept what He offers today.

John 16:33
33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In
this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the
world.” (Once we are cleansed by His Blood, we will be filled with the
Holy Spirit)

Speaking of the Holy Spirit!

Matthew 12:31-33
31 And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven,
but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven,
but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven,
either in this age or in the age to come.

33 Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and
its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.

The Holy Spirit, fills us with God on our inside. The Holy Spirit is
in fact God. He lives inside of us upon acceptance of the cleansing
Blood of Christ. He also convicts us of (our conscience)  sin, and
allows us to unburden ourselves, and once again become free.
