Religion, Politics & Social Issues

Over these many years, when I have offered on this blog my views on
religion, politics and social issues, it has not been my desire to
offend anyone. I knew that some would be offended, partially because I
had made some strong statements, and partly because we have a
subculture in the world (it is close to becoming the majority), who
spends their lives waiting to be offended. When they cannot find such,
they invent it.

However, writing with a premeditated intent to offend, is in and of
itself offensive if you will excuse the partial pun.  Although I admit
that sometimes, causing those who make their living being offended to
be upset, is satisfying.

With all that said, I can also say that if I believe I am
“righteously” angry, I do not lose sleep over offending anybody. In
some respects, if I never offended anyone, that would suggest that I
have little to say of consequence.

Since I began dealing with the subject of religion, in particular
Christianity, some might say that I have not been very “Christ like”,
because I have displayed anger. At times you are right, as I do
sometimes fail, but let us remember, Jesus showed “Righteous” anger on
a few occasions. If you share with people His Love and Caring, and do
so in an effort to help make His point, it is fair to show His
(righteous) anger to do the same. At least, I would think.

I also might note, that passion can seem like anger. At least when you
yell through the keyboard as I sometimes do. Maybe I need quieter
fingers.

Numerous times on this blog, I have shared the journey of which I have
(and millions of others) had, to take me from a young Sunday school
and (occasionally) church going (yet a confused) child, on to a brief
foray into atheism, and finally many, many years later, to a Bible
believing Christian. I am hardly alone in having traveled that path,
as millions have done so. I do so because it was the most important
journey of my life, and the one I would want all others (who have not
already done so) to experience.

I am not a big fan of the term religion. I use it because I often do
not know what else to call it. There are of course numerous religions.
Within those who lay claim to be Christians, their are hundreds of
different religions. Not just denominations, but beliefs that vary
enough to be called different religions. Most lay one claim or another
to Jesus Christ, and sometimes they are Biblically dedicated, but
quite often they just make it up to serve their purposes.  Their
intent is to influence others on humanistic issues, not Godly ones. I
say these things because religion, is just a word, and one that needs
to be interpreted case by case.

In my time of atheism, my study of others who proudly proclaimed they
were atheists, proved to me they needed incredible faith to believe
what they believe. Atheism is a religion. Going on 200 years after the
fact, they still have not proved a micro shred of substance, of the
claim of human evolution. They do prove time and time again, they are
a religious people. They worship at the altar of science, nature and
man. They do have admirable faith.

The original concept of the formation of this country was not only
based on Biblical teaching, but the formation of the government itself
is also based on Biblical ideals.

The pilgrimage (with the actual pilgrims) to this continent, on the
ship known as the Mayflower (and then others), was based on the
concept of a joint belief, of individual freedom and liberty. An
elected government from among the citizenry, who would govern
collectively, but do so in support of individual liberty. God Given
rights. A group yes, but one supporting personal, individual freedom.

(The pilgrim Christians, I said the pilgrim “Christians“, did not
engage in the slave trade, unlike other early European immigrants.
They also made some of the few agreements or treaties with the native
peoples that were net broken.)

The country itself, was then built primarily from a combination of
rugged individualism (natural leaders and trend setters willing to
strike out on their own ), and a collective agreement to work together
to keep that idea of individualism alive. Banded together as a group,
morally and in Biblical principal, to support individual choices, that
are within the moral ideals set forth in the Bible.

To this day, the true Christian church is a group of individuals
banded together in fellowship with each other, to promote individual
Salvation through Jesus Christ. Individual, one by one Salvation,
results in a personal relationship with God.

People are Saved one by one, but they often become Saved, within the
group worship (and by sincerely asking for Salvation) of a genuine
Church.

The idea of a government that is both from and for the people, and
that is about those people rather than the government itself, as well
as a government based on the moral laws of God, is disintegrating in
America, while each of us watches.

Many churches today, are about those same miss given concepts of
government over people (socialism) rather than people over government.
Much of the church in Europe, has long relinquished teaching an
individual relationship with God, as so far as they might accomplish
in a church. They have settled for a hybrid which is little more than
a socialist born, pretend church. Go though the ceremonies, but only
give lip service to the true message of the Bible, which is a
personal, one on one relationship with God Almighty. They teach how
you can “earn your way to heaven“, instead of accepting what Jesus did
for us on the Cross by Grace, and our asking of forgiveness.

I think it is important to say, that part of this Christian based
nation, has always been to allow for people to believe what they
choose, as long as they do not trample the rights of others, including
Christians, and that they harm nobody in practicing their beliefs.
Such as is done in terrorism.

That is in contrast to Islamic Sharia Law where the government and the
religion, are one in the same.

Much the way Sharia Law dictates the beliefs and actions to the
populace, today’s mostly secular, and in many cases atheistic society
of 2019 America, prefers to dictate to you and I, what we can and
cannot say, as well as what we can and cannot believe.

We stand today, in America and much of the world, at the precipice of
choosing socialism and one world government, over sovereign nations
who offer Democracy and individual liberty. It is probably 60/40 in
favor of socialism in Europe, and 50/50 here in America.

The list you see below, was taken (by me) from a political poster. It
seems that in decade after decade, we are given obvious reasons to
choose a freedom based republic over the “government over people”
concept of socialism. With that said, in each of those decades there
are those who will be led astray from the truth.

Let’s look at Venezuela.

Venezuela Timeline

1992  Became the 3rd richest (from oil) country in this Hemisphere.
2001  Voted for a socialist president to pursue, “income equality”.
2004  Private healthcare was socialized.
2007  All higher education became “free”. (Nothing of course is free.)
2009  Socialists banned the private ownership of guns.
2012  Bernie Sanders praises them for their version of the American Dream.
2014  Those opposed to the socialist takeover are imprisoned.
2016  Food and healthcare shortages become wide-spread.
2017  Their constitution and free elections are suspended.
2019  Unarmed citizens are massacred by their own (socialist) government.

Yah, we gotta get us some of that!

Year after year and decade after decade, socialism is tried, but winds
up like Venezuela. Yet, in each and every new generation, there are
those who fall for the lies.

Maybe if we just taught (actual) history in our schools that could change!!!!

Ephesians 6-12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of
this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

I feel the need to comment about the recent mass murders here in the U.S.

Please, make the effort to find out the truth about both of them, and
ignore the one sided views of the so called mainstream media.

Both of these evil, disgusting and lost souls, were alike more than
they were different.  Both were truly godless souls who were
infatuated with violence, and selfish beyond comprehension. They each
found sections of society in which to take their anger out on, but
seemed to hate everybody.

I am sure you all know about the El Paso murderer. He is a white
supremacist.  The Ohio shooter/murderer is much, much less publicized.
He is an Elizabeth Warren (Democrat) supporting, devout socialist. He
shot his own sister in that night club.

A white supremacist and a socialist. Equally hateful, equally selfish,
equally godless, equally violent, equally stupid, and equally cowards.

Despite those facts, the media and Democrats alike, are quite specific
about the El Paso shooter (President Trump is usually blamed), but
often vague and quick to dismiss the Ohio shooter (Warren, Democrats
and socialists are never mentioned).

Both shooters are a part of a growing group of Americans. They are
surrounded by godlessness, and they are the sort of empty souls void
of empathy and compassion, and filled with hate, that are the result
of that godlessness.

I and millions of honest Americans own guns, and we never hurt
anybody. Occasionally, we do save people from criminals with illegal
guns.

Those mass murders are what happens when a nation attempts to expel
God from every aspect of life.

There is something that needs to be said, when it comes to some of the
reactions to all of the many horrible mass shootings which have
occurred here in the U.S. over time.

On a typical summer weekend, far more Americans are shot and killed in
any two or three of our larger cities than in the two last mass
murders. Those who scream about the mass shootings, and ignore the
weekly carnage that takes place often in the very cities or districts
of the screamers, are phonies. The killings in those cities are
usually done by felons, for who it is illegal to own guns, and often
the guns themselves are illegal, most frequently entering this nation
at our border with Mexico.

When these horrific events occur, take with grain of salt what some of
the screamers have to say. They gleefully play politics with the dead.
Unless of course, there were 50 dead in their own city last weekend,
in which case they are silent.

The outright doubters and even haters of God, are not that difficult
to spot. It is the false teachers and false prophets that are oft
times inside the church (not truly Christ’s Church) itself, and in
other religious places, that are insidious and deadly.  The Bible
spends much time, warning us against those people. They always “sound
good” and present a seemingly heartfelt presentation. They appeal to
our human weaknesses by telling us what we want to hear. They make out
god to be just like us. They appeal to our human egos and know how to
guide us so we can “pat ourselves on the back” to feed our egos. They
are in deed deadly.

As somebody who enjoys nature and who enjoys animals, one of my
favorite critters is the wolf. There is much to be enjoyed watching
the wolf.

The human wolf however, in the trappings of harmless sheep, is a
robber of souls.

Mathew 7:13-18

7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad
is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in
there at. (most will enter the easier appearing wide gate).

7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth
unto life, and few there be that find it.

7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing,
but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (false prophets often reside in
churches)

7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of
thorns, or figs of thistles?

7:17 Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt
tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt
tree bring forth good fruit
.
7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and
cast into the fire. (the lake of fire?)

One thing is for sure, God loves all of us and will guide and support
those who sincerely ask.

Matthew 11:28
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Psalm 119:50
“This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your Word has given me life.”

God, the Christian God, always acts within the framework of Justice.
Justice, means that the unrepentant who do not accept the Salvation we
are offered, will have to be punished. It also means, that those who
repent and genuinely accept that Salvation, will be wonderfully
rewarded.

This nation, with all of its many flaws, was created in that same
Godly framework of justice.

John 10:10, 11
“The thief (Satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to
destroy: I (Jesus) am come that they might have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good
shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

God Bless,

Wayne
