If you choose to read the article you see below, you may become angry with me. That’s okay because “normal” anger can make us think. Also, I will admit, I wrote some of it while I was angry.

It is a long article with many sections. I would ask you to set it aside if necessary, and read it when you can to “take in” the entire post. No part can live without the rest.

I hate that so much in America today is coming down to race, and often race baiting. We have been through so much (all of us) as a country, in an effort to remove racial and ethnic conflicts. If you read this blog thoroughly and have for a long time, you know many of my heroes were those who helped to eliminate everything from slavery, to the injustices that occurred in the 20^th Century south.

I have also written on these pages that I believe the problem in big city black communities, and yes there is a huge problem, stems back to the 1960s and Lyndon Johnson’s so called “Great Society” welfare system. A system that put American blacks 100 years behind the times. I believe it was done to enslave black Americans into needing Johnson’s party, and therefore voting for them.

There was nothing great about that welfare system called The Great Society, and the damage it caused is in full evidence today.

Recent shootings of black suspects by white police officers has brought to our attention many things. Those things are a lot more than only what white police officers do. You would have to have your eyes blinded, your ears muffled, and your mind closed, to not know about black on black violence, in many of America’s central cities. The local media does still report murders in our cities. Yet that fact is completely ignored by those who pretend to care about black deaths (or lives).

I was listening to a Chicago, Illinois radio station on a Monday morning a few weeks back. The newscaster said that over the weekend there were 18 murdered and 55 injured by shooters and others. She seemed happy because that was a drop in the murder rate from last year. It appears that all 18 murders are of black Chicagoans, by black Chicagoans.  Even if that is not 100% accurate, every single person in America knows it will be very close to that percentage. I heard not a peep from this president, not a word from the group Black Lives Matter, or any major liberal figure in America.  Just another typical weekend in a major American city I guess. I guess there wasn’t any cops to bash.

Let me take a brief side trip for just a moment. While this carnage goes on in many of our cities, mostly by criminals who illegally possess guns, gun violence over much of the rest of America, has diminished in proportion to the passing of conceal and carry laws. Honest people owning guns promotes safety, only criminals with guns, promotes violence.

Back to the point.

Do not misunderstand me, whites, Hispanics, Native Americans and Asians, have their own crime problems. There is no crime committed by blacks, that is not also committed by other groups including whites. The majority of black Americans, just like all Americans, do not commit these crimes. The truth however is, that among black Americans, the per capita violent crime rates, is by far the highest in the nation. Once again I believe that can be traced back to a welfare system that forced the break down of the family unit, and promoted the “you owe me” mentality. That was however, a long time ago and only the people themselves can stop that problem today. It can only be solved from the inside out.

The police however, are charged with catching these murderers, and protecting those (the majority) who are not violent. The term “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” fits perfectly here. We are currently having major problems in this country, finding anybody (without criminal records) to be cops today. Because of what we are doing to cops in America, we can look more and more for our future officers to be those with criminal backgrounds. That’s already happening in LA and other places.

Heather Mac Donald, is a prolific and highly respected (even by many in the political left) writer, and not even her detractors have argued with her statistics, which were gotten via federal (department of justice) and local government agencies, and independent statistic gatherers.

Especially illuminating are those stats on black suspects shooting at cops, and the fact that a black criminal is more likely to kill a cop than the other way around. Those cops have homes and families. If you are a cop and you know that it is likely that a suspect you are approaching, is going to pull a gun and shoot you, do to the neighborhood you are in, you are “of course” going to be a little quicker to do the same. We do not want our police of any color, to commit suicide.

Below are those statistics. It is important to read all of them.

The Alton Sterling and Philando Castile shootings have caused an uproar among leftists because they fuel their narrative that racist white police officers are hunting down innocent black men. But the statistics – brought to light by the superb work of Heather MacDonald – tell a different story.

1. Cops killed nearly twice as many whites as blacks in 2015. According to data compiled by The Washington Post, 50 percent of the victims of fatal police shootings were white, while 26 percent were black. The majority of these victims had a gun or “were armed or otherwise threatening the officer with potentially lethal force,” according to MacDonald in a speech at Hillsdale College.

Some may argue that these statistics are evidence of racist treatment toward blacks, since whites consist of 62 percent of the population and blacks make up 13 percent of the population. But as MacDonald writes in The Wall Street Journal, 2009 statistics from the Bureau of Justice Statistics reveal that blacks were charged with 62 percent of robberies, 57 percent of murders and 45 percent of assaults in the 75 biggest counties in the country, despite only comprising roughly 15 percent of the population in these counties.
“Such a concentration of criminal violence in minority communities means that officers will be disproportionately confronting armed and often resisting suspects in those communities, raising officers’ own risk of using lethal force,” writes MacDonald.
MacDonald also pointed out in her Hillsdale speech that blacks “commit 75 percent of all shootings, 70 percent of all robberies, and 66 percent of all violent crime” in New York City, even though they consist of 23 percent of the city’s population. “The black violent crime rate would actually predict that more than 26 percent of police victims would be black,” MacDonald said. “Officer use of force will occur where the police interact most often with violent criminals, armed suspects, and those resisting arrest, and that is in black neighborhoods.”

2. More whites and Hispanics die from police homicides than blacks. According to MacDonald, 12 percent of white and Hispanic homicide deaths were due to police officers, while only four percent of black homicide deaths were the result of police officers.
“If we’re going to have a ‘Lives Matter’ anti-police movement, it would be more appropriately named “White and Hispanic Lives Matter,'” said MacDonald in her Hillsdale speech.

3. The Post’s data does show that unarmed black men are more likely to die by the gun of a cop than an unarmed white man…but this does not tell the whole story. In August 2015, the ratio was seven-to-one of unarmed black men dying from police gunshots compared to unarmed white men; the ratio was six-to-one by the end of 2015. But MacDonald points out in The Marshall Project that looking at the details of the actual incidents that occurred paints a different picture:

The “unarmed” label is literally accurate, but it frequently fails to convey highly-charged policing situations. In a number of cases, if the victim ended up being unarmed, it was certainly not for lack of trying. At least five black victims had reportedly tried to grab the officer’s gun, or had been beating the cop with his own equipment. Some were shot from an accidental discharge triggered by their own assault on the officer. And two individuals included in the Post’s “unarmed black victims” category were struck by stray bullets aimed at someone else in justified cop shootings. If the victims were not the intended targets, then racism could have played no role in their deaths.

In one of those unintended cases, an undercover cop from the New York Police Department was conducting a gun sting in Mount Vernon, just north of New York City. One of the gun traffickers jumped into the cop’s car, stuck a pistol to his head, grabbed $2,400 and fled. The officer gave chase and opened fire after the thief again pointed his gun at him. Two of the officer’s bullets accidentally hit a 61-year-old bystander, killing him. That older man happened to be black, but his race had nothing to do with his tragic death. In the other collateral damage case, Virginia Beach, Virginia, officers approached a car parked at a convenience store that had a homicide suspect in the passenger seat. The suspect opened fire, sending a bullet through an officer’s shirt. The cops returned fire, killing their assailant as well as a woman in the driver’s seat. That woman entered the Post’s database without qualification as an “unarmed black victim” of police fire.

MacDonald examines a number of other instances, including unarmed black men in San Diego, CA and Prince George’s County, MD attempting to reach for a gun in a police officer’s holster. In the San Diego case, the unarmed black man actually “jumped the officer” and assaulted him, and the cop shot the man since he was “fearing for his life.” MacDonald also notes that there was an instance in 2015 where “three officers were killed with their own guns, which the suspects had wrestled from them.”

4. Black and Hispanic police officers are more likely to fire a gun at blacks than white officers. This is according to a Department of Justice report in 2015 about the Philadelphia Police Department, and is further confirmed that by a study conducted University of Pennsylvania criminologist Gary Ridgeway in 2015 that determined black cops were 3.3 times more likely to fire a gun than other cops at a crime scene.

5. Blacks are more likely to kill cops than be killed by cops. This is according to FBI data, which also found that 40 percent of cop killers are black. According to MacDonald, the police officer is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black than a cop killing an unarmed black person.

Despite the facts, the anti-police rhetoric of Black Lives Matter and their leftist sympathizers have resulted in what MacDonald calls the “Ferguson Effect,” as murders have spiked by 17 percent among the 50 biggest cities in the U.S. as a result of cops being more reluctant to police neighborhoods out of fear of being labeled as racists. Additionally, there have been over twice as many cops victimized by fatal shootings in the first three months of 2016.

This next two sentences are from me.

The facts in the paragraph above exist because cops are already slowing down the aggression in which they pursue violent criminals in black neighborhoods due to the criticism by selfish groups like Black Lives Matter, and the way in which the news media reports these incidents. More black on black murders are now occurring, and more good people are being caught in the crossfire.

For some of you, you will not believe those statistics, no matter how true and obvious they are. You cannot “will” or “wish” truth into being anything but what it actually is.

I have made the assertion before, that the group Black Lives Matter, or at least much of their leadership, cares nothing about black lives.  Every day in America, a black on black slaughter goes on in many of our cities. That’s where black lives are being lost. They don’t address the issue, because they don’t care about it. In several instances, that leadership has proven itself to be criminals themselves. One leader of BLM has been arrested for human trafficking. He was caught pimping out a 17-year-old girl in a motel. They (some leaders) are interested in power and money. They will continue to exploit their black brothers if they can.

Unfortunately our president, with his support for this group, and his (only) half-hearted sympathies for murdered cops. His half-hearted (like gee, I guess I have to do this) suggestions to stop rioting, only serves to foster violence and division in America. Much of what is happening, is because of a president who almost seems to want this anger and rioting to occur.

Years from now, when you look back on this time and its history is written, remember I said that.

Every time he hints that the cop is wrong, and the suspect is right, without considering whether the suspect resisted, put his hands in a pocket or shirt after being told not to, or began fighting with the officer, he condones that very behavior that might just have brought about the shooting in the first place. In turn, that fosters more bad and dangerous behavior. He is making things worse!

There was a small but positive flicker of light on the horizon, following the killing of those five white police officers. Remember, the shooter told friends that he wanted to kill white people, his preference was white cops, but any white person would do. That idea has sent some cold shivers down the spine of some black Americans who are sincerely trying to do good. Maybe there is hope.

However, until everybody in America cares as much about all crime, instead of only white police shootings of blacks, nothing will ever be solved. Ultimately, it is the communities with the problems, that can do the most good. Nobody from the outside ever will.  Among the outsiders, the deck is stacked with users.

Always solve your own problems first, before you point your finger at others.

I support every honest police officer, and that is the vast, vast, vast, majority of them, regardless of their color, sex or ethnicity.  One of my favorite cops is Sheriff David Clarke, of Milwaukee county.
“I would like to see the Southern Poverty Law Center place Black Lives Matter alongside those other hate groups that were mentioned — these black nationalist groups, the Black Panther Party, the Nation of Islam,” Clarke told Fox News host Megyn Kelly Friday night.

The world, and especially America is in a civil war right now. It was a non-violent war but it is becoming violent.

The left against the right.

Black  against  white.

Rich against poor.

Young against the old

Men against women.

We are in a time when so much is possible, and it could be so easy to work together, and we are allowing ourselves to be pitted against each other by a few demented left-wing extremists who believe in the philosophy of Chairman Mao, the late leader of Communist China. He subscribed to the idea that you must create chaos and anarchy, under the guise of coming together. Then the government (communist) steps in and assures all that they and only they (the government), can bring peace.  The (false) peace they bring, is not worth having. Like a bunch of little children, with no will of our own, we are allowing this to happen.

This last section is written through lifelong observation, my own opinions, and a small amount of research.

One of the first blue-collar type jobs given to African-Americans in America, a job with good pay and benefits, and with a large amount of responsibility and authority, was that of the cop. The beginning (1930s) of the black cop in America, wasn’t done from the good heart of white folks with power in large cities, it was done for selfish and racial reasons by those people. They reasoned, that black neighborhoods would do better with black cops. Segregated America, should have white cops in white nieghborhoods, Mexican American cops in those nieghborhoods, and black in black. That idea is racist, but it is also practical.

Black neighborhoods of the day, had their share of crime, but so did poorer neighborhoods of every color and ethnicity. It wasn’t inherently dangerous there, because most crimes were non-violent. Time moves on, and in the 1960s more violence came to be, and of course the birth of white liberalism as a major force also came to be.

White liberals shouted, that’s racist to put blacks in black neighborhoods, white in white and so forth. They were right, it is racist, although it worked fairly well.

Crime grew in black areas of big cities and police unions said, any officer of any color deserves to police in any area of the city that his (few woman at that time) seniority will allow for. They were perfectly right in that synopsis. Besides, violent crime was on the rise in black neighborhoods and formerly high crime white neighborhoods were disappearing as “white flight” to the suburbs became prevalent. So the races of big city police forces, were scattered in keeping with white liberalism.

While racial harmony has become better and even commonplace in much of America including the workplace (black CEOs, professors, small business owners, even American Presidents etc), black areas of large cities remain fairy segregated and with horrible violence. You can draw a straight and deadly line from what’s happenbing today and the welfare system. Especially that not so great, Great Society liberal/socialist system that promoted the birth of lots and lots of children…..with no fathers. The only way to get a raise in income, was in fact, to have children and remain single.

So, maybe we could return to black cops in black neighborhoods? I don’t think the powers that be or black cops necessarily want that, but there is another problem.

When black police officers first began to appear, it was easy to find candidates. The necessary education (fairly average for that time) and a clean police record was easy to find among city blacks. Times have changed. The applicant today may have the basic education as far as grades, but that is of little use if they still can’t read and write. Finding inner city blacks today, especially males, with clean police records is getting harder and harder to accomplish. While in past times most black community leadership (were white then) seemed to want a happy neighborhood, but one where people never advanced, today’s black leaders are mostly users who want to keep those people angry and needy for their so-called leadership. In both cases the leaders were selfish, although today’s leaders provoke deadly results.

I was a senior in high school when I had my first black teacher or authority figure. I was not racist and was in fact one of those white liberals. I thought this will be great. It wasn’t great and it wasn’t bad. It was just like any other class. He taught us our subject, he expected us to do our work, he made sure we stayed shut up during study periods. On my first real job, the head of the entire (locally) operation was black. He was just like any other boss. My introduction to an integrated world was good. It was in fact, no different from the segregated world, except, it was more colorful.

What’s happening in American today, was initiated and continues because of power mongers and left -wingers, both white and black. From Al Sharpton, to Hillary Clinton, to President Obama, to Black Lives Matter, to the “leaders” in the black community near you, we are all being manipulated to accomplish a very left-wing agenda. When racial harmony is at its best and there is no anger, then the powers that be serve no purpose…….and have no power.

The answer is still up to all of us. Time however is running out before this “created” civil war, consumes us.
