Just Pictures

The only point to be made in today’s post, is the joy of sharing pictures. No “how to” article. No captions. No opinions. Just (almost) pictures.

The 42 images you see below have all been seen before somewhere on this blog. In fact they are “well worn” images. My intention is for them to live together on one page. They illustrate my basic philosophy of being versatile with your subjects, as well as your technique and style .18DSC_0033b

———————————————————————————————————–

I’ve always loved dramatic finishes. Sporting events, movies, songs, books, relationships. They’re always better when we are left with our mouths wide open, or a lump in our throats, or tears in our eyes. I used to end my articles on this blog with a little drama or at least a few compelling words. Not so much lately. You should always leave with some flair.

My writings below are in remembrance of how so many of those old B Movie westerns I used to revere as a child, ended. Often at the end, they would ride off into the sunset. It is also in remembrance of my former life, and all of those “things” that helped to make me who I was.

If

If I could find my cowboy boots I would put them on.

If my old jeans still fit I would put them on too.

If I could find my old leather vest, and if my cowboy hat was any good, I would be wearing them right now.

Then I would swing up in the saddle, that is….if I still had a saddle….and if I still had a horse to put it on.

Then I could ride off into the sunset….if I could still ride, and it was time for the sun to set.

Never let the cowboy/cowgirl in you die.

Happy trails,                                                                                                                                     Wayne
