The Teachers

One of the most important things in each and every society, are its teachers. Regardless of the subject.

Great School teachers in every type of school, be it government, parochial, or private, are the only way for any society to advance intellectually and at least hold their own morally.

We are currently in a disaster phase. We are regressing at warp speed.

That does not have to mean there are no good teachers. Only that the good are outnumbered .

Maybe the good are so outnumbered and so hated, that their successes are barely noticed amidst the countless failures of the bad.

Still, teaching is difficult.

Years ago I put together a record that I am somewhat proud of. I say somewhat because we all fail. My success was in teaching photo workshops as well as giving slide shows. Efforts on my part to extrapulate from that, and use those methods to share my beliefs and prayerful discoveries of God, have been by and large failures and disasters.

Clearly, I am not among the good teachers of “the Word”, if you will.

The message was correct and pure, the messenger (me) was a rank amateur.

Sometimes in life, we succeed at the meaningless stuff, and when it really counts, we fall flat. By comparison, the photography stuff was not important.

I admit that the subject I speak of, for me, is so emotional that at times I go “over the top”, when a simple less emotional spreading of the Word would work better. That is however my style, and on this subject, there is no other way for me. I give what I’ve got, and it seems I surely don’t have enough.

Also there is an enemy in the field of teaching, and he is very powerful.

Thankfully his opponent, is “all powerful”. He only uses Godly tactics. No lies, no forced beliefs unlike His competition.

He is truth.

The “eviil one” will tell us whatever our own flawed, selfish hearts want to hear. The Godly side will only speak the truth, and will depend on whatever goodness we might possess, to see through lies that are used by His opponent.

Living is learning, and learning is living.

Well, I am glad to get that off my chest.

May God Bless, and may you “see and hear” what He has to say. Let Him be your teacher, He is as good as it gets!
