Visitor’s Gallery & More

Let us begin today with some spectacular images from Facebook. These are the sort of stuff that pops up on my entrance page of Facebook.

The great wildlife photographer Charles Glatzer gives us this spectacular image of a Grizzly Bear in the wild.

An image after my own heart. You all know how much I loved working the Utah Sandstone territory. I only wish I could claim this image as my own, but this belongs to Jeff Clow.

Jim Zuckerman Is one of the best landscape-architectural image makers ever.

The photo below was made in north Africa I believe.

Back to wildlife with this phenomenal image of a Hummingbird stopping off for a bite, or maybe a tongue’s worth of flower nectar. Ralph Johnson is the artist.

A couple of posters.

Wisdom from C.S.Lewis. I found this poster on social media, posted by Brad Taylor.

Finally an important Bible verse posted by former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. A True Christian

Truth in a world of pretenders is refreshing. Is integrity a lost art?

Quantrill & The Jayhawkers

After the end of the American Civil War, there was a man named Charles Quantrill. He was a southerner who claimed to be avenging, along with his many raiders, the atrocities as he saw them, committed by the north in that war.

Quantrill and those raiders invaded several border towns and burned much of them to the ground. They trampled, shot and killed many of the townsfolk. Oh ya, they also managed to rob the towns of anything of value, including cash. They became rich.

He was revered by only a handful of southerners, and hated by the civilized world.

Also after the war, a similar group, but this time from the northern states, raided, burned and killed people in Missouri and Arkansas. Both are states that were Confederates during the war, They did what they did in the name of justice because of that war. Of course, in addition to burning towns and farms, and shooting and killing people, they managed to make off with any valuables that they could grab. Livestock including horses, machinery, weapons, money and so forth.

To me there is much of that post war era, that resembles today. We have been sold a bill of goods, this time via social media. the so-called “News Media”, schools, and politicians.

In some respects, they are worse than Quantrill or the Jayhawkers. The death and misery they spread, was over quickly. Soon they were gone. Today’s hatred and misery lingers in places like Facebook, Twitter (or x of you will), and very much so in our government and on our public streets.

The killers and thieves and the politicians, continue to use fear, hatred, and money from suspicious sources, to emulate those post Civil War self appointed hate groups, who really only lusted for power and personal wealth.

Let me say that again, today’s leaders of that movment lust for power and personal wealth. Period!!

The question is, when will civil society on any side, ever band together and say enough is enough?

May God truly Bless you in the name of Jesus Christ, our lord and Savior.

One final image from me,

Wayne
