- A few words about politics.
On the Republican side of politics. Nicki Haley has joined the foray for a run at the presidency. If Donald Trump and Haley do not destroy each other during the primaries and build a divide that can never be mended, there could be a bright side.
If Trump was to win he of course can only serve for that one four year term, after already serving four years previously. That would mean that Haley, if she were asked and if she would accept a run at Vice President, could be a frontrunner for the office of president in 2028. She was a great governor and an excellent U.N. Ambassador, although those times were different than now.
That would of course require those from all quarters to take the long view and care about the country a great deal.
On the Democrat side most are still waiting for President Biden to disappear close to primary time do to health concerns (likely mental health) which will allow someone, not likely Kamala Harris, to jump into the foray. The wife of a former president (not named Clinton) has been one person of interest. She has no past of holding public office but she would no doubt bring Dems to the poles in droves.
