Oh to have some wings

Be it wing stretching, in the air flight, or take offs and landings, being a photographer and photographing birds is a privilege more than a job.

Prayers.

I have sang the praises of, and stressed the importance of prayer on several occasions here on this blog. You cannot benefit in life emotionally, spiritually or literally without communication with God.

While there are great already written prayers that can be used, and they serve a fine purpose, I cannot stress enough, do not turn your relationship with God over to other people, or a church, or a religion. Speak in your own tongue so to speak, and share your own heart.

Asking forgiveness is always the first thing on my mind, and singing God’s praise is sure to follow. I give thanks within that praise.

I most certainly ask for things as well. I speak not of a new car or a nice set of clothes, although for the right reasons, I personally believe that has its place in prayer. I ask a lot for other people, for my country, and for this world. I ask for less pain and more joy. While the world is what it is, and what is happening right now is both Biblical and necessary, you can gain personal peace on this journey via a personal relationship with God.

Most often, it is peace that I ask from God.

Prayer is not a one way conversation. It is a true conversation in every sense. We talk and God listens, but God speaks as well.

When the Lord talks, it is your time to listen. Maybe the moment you cease your prayer, maybe next week, and maybe five years from now, but in some fashion, you will get your answer and get it when it is the best time for it.

Learn to listen for Him! His wisdom is not as is ours. He is all knowing.

I only wish I could go back many years and begin my communication with God then. Not only would I have been spared much grief and sorrow, but so would have those who had the misfortune to share my life with me.

We all need salvation. Every single one of us. Only one walked the earth without sin, and He was God in the body of a man.
This is Jesus talking.

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Jeremiah 29:12
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
