Wings
God created birds and gifted them with flight. It is while man was observing birds, that he conceived the airplane.
Preparing for flight by lifting its wings.

Soaring “on the wing”.

Spreading its wings for a landing.

Now for the important part.
Prayers
God created prayer so we could develop a personal one on one relationship with Him. Prayer is in fact, a gift from God.
There are understandably many questions that new Christians, old Christians, and those who think they want to be Christian have about prayer. I do not blame you as I have had several questions myself over the years. I am certainly flawed at many things, sometimes including prayer, so I still need to think about prayer, educate myself via those I trust, and practice it.
What I will not do is pray “through” others or “to” others.
I do however, pray for others, because of others, and with others.
I do not pray and then stamp my feet wondering why God “seems” not to have answered my prayer.
He always answers our prayers. Not often the way we might want, but in the way that is best.
It is easier in my opinion to help people who do not, and maybe have never prayed, than those who are religious and have never been truly taught to pray.
I talk to God, several times a day. That is called prayer. I am flawed to be sure, and there are times I catch myself praying to God, as if I am speaking to a pal who lives down the street. Reverence, is something I am constantly working on. With that said, I will continue to pray a lot, even when it is a spur of the moment thing.
I pray a lot, not because I am in any way whatsoever special. I might be the most un-special person there is.
Jesus, taught the apostles (disciples at the time) how to pray. The Lord’s Prayer is certainly one of the best known prayers and there is good reason for that. He taught them to pray to the Father, in the name of the Son. The Son, is sort of like our council if you will. He is of course, also God.
Luke 11:2,3,4
Our Father Which art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
It is a beautiful prayer given to us by God. With that said, do not be afraid to pray to God (or Jesus) in your own words. What is bothering you or scaring you. What are your doubts and what can be done with them. How better can we serve Him. Pray for you needs and your unselfish wants. It is not selfish to pray for God to protect you, or bless you with food and such. Pray for others, your country and our world. Ask forgiveness for your sins. Yes, like me, you sin too.
God wants to hear from you, and he want its to be personal. Whether it is a Biblical prayer, or one where you came up with every word, pray.
God Bless,
Wayne
