Tribal Lands…Monument Valley…Arizona/Utah

Monument Valley is the super desert, for red rock aficionados. It is Navajo lands, not those of the federal government. You can feel the history, both human and natural when you are here.

For photographers, it is a diverse valley of monuments, both subtle and overwhelming. It turns out that I spent as much time working with light and texture, as I did color. It is in many ways, a valley of mystery,  just waiting for the artist in you to uncover it. I only had one day to spend here and was fortunate to have sunshine, clouds, and storms during that day.

Looking at these gorgeous red rock formations that you have captured so beautifully Wayne, makes me wish I was there right now!

    • Well thank you Darlene! I probably had the best mixture of light that anyone has ever had there. It was a long, but perfect day.
