Fake News, Where Have All The Cowboys Gone & More

Liberal “science guy” Paul Ehrlich predicted in 1970 that there will be worldwide starvation within the next ten years. 100-200 million people will be dying from food shortage.

He went on to add at a later date that between 1980 and 1989 some 4 billion people, including 65 million Americans would perish in a “Great Die Off”. This country’s political left, and mainstream news media, gobbled it up like a gourmet meal. Then they fed it to us. No pun intended.

In the early 1980s, President Jimmy Carter assured us that we will be out of fossil fuels by the mid 1990s.

Dozens of respected (by the left) self-proclaimed environmentalists, have told us that the last Polar Bears will be seen, depending on who you choose to listen to, in the 1990s, early 2,000s, or around 2015. Polar Bears are on the increase and have been for several decades.

Senator Gaylord Nelson (Earth Day) wrote in 1970, that somewhere between 75 and 80 percent of “all” animals on Earth will be extinct in the next few decades.

I remember hearing that by 2012, California, New York, and virtually every location in the world that borders an ocean, will be completely submerged due to the melting of our polar ice caps.  I read those reports in several “respected” publications. I’m still waiting, how about you.

Remember, in the 1970s, we were warned of an impending “global cooling” where much of the planet would become buried under 100s of feet of ice. By the late 1980s, they switched to global warming. Those who still cling to that have ignored the fact that in recent years the Earth has been in fact once again cooling. All of course, were stated as being caused by man. How did man manage to cause the first ice age 5-10 thousand years ago, and then bring about enough global warming to melt it away……I wonder.

The fact is, this planet has been warming and cooling, and weather changes have been happening, for as long as it has been here. It is natural.

When we have seasons that produce hurricanes, we are told it is due to climate change caused by man. When we have no hurricanes, we are told that it is caused by man.

There is an industry, dedicated to alarming gullible citizens into doomsday fears. It is headed by left-wing politicos (Al Gore and such) and often self labeled science types, in quest of both power and money.

The political left has silenced scientists who have disagreements with what has become the status quo of creating fear screaming “the sky is falling, the sky is falling”. The truth be damned.

If you want to know where today’s “fake news” is coming from, you need look no further than The New York Times, The Washington Post, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, CBS, ABC, The Smithsonian Institute and so forth. They attempt to add credibility to virtually any doomsday forecast that the political left propagates, with no regard whatsoever to what might be the truth. They epitomize, fake news. They are the original fake news organizations.

There are so many people today, who seem to want to believe the world is in the midst of destruction. They actually get angry when there is good news about our planet.

Now, for all of you (and me) conservatives, or just plain truth seekers. It would be disingenuous and irresponsible for me, to suggest that all of what I’ve written about today, means we do not have any responsibility to take care of our planet. You maintain your car do you not? You repair what goes wrong with your furnace or air-conditioning. You weed your garden and make sure you are leaving it healthy.

I am just saying, that because of a group of crazies, fed by a group of users who want to lie us into complete paranoia, “sky is falling“, does not mean that basic common sense and fundamental care of the world around us isn’t warranted. It is good to continue to find cleaner ways to live, brought to light by honest people with an abundance of common sense. I know it often feels like they do not exist but they are out there and occasionally they can even be heard above the screams of the crazies, and the users.

I am one American who cares very little what the rest of the world thinks about us, as long as I believe we are doing the right thing. I do however read publications with the thoughts of others who dare to challenge convention. Below is what one Canadian thinks about the recent election for President here in America.

The holiday greeting below came from Facebook friend Brian Oakley. It was kindly received by even his liberal friends. They took it in good cheer, but could not deny it. It is true, and hilarious.

To All My Democrat and Liberal Friends:
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2017, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

To My Republican and other conservative Friends:
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?
The lyrics below are just a few from the song written and performed by Paula Cole, I believe in the 1980s, called Where Have All The Cowboys Gone.
Where is my John Wayne
Where is my prairie song
Where is my happy ending
Where have all the cowboys gone
Obviously I cannot speak for Paula, but I would imagine, she was not only complaining about the absence of “any real men”, or the feminization of the American Male, but about her general search in life for all of those things promised us in fairy tales, movies and on television. Where is chivalry, the importance of keeping one’s word, where’s honor? I think the moral is, they still exist, but if possible, do it yourself, don’t wait for others. Don’t wait for your knight in shining armor, or your fairy-tale princess. Time spent waiting, is time lost. You be the cowboy, or cowgirl.cowboy-on-his-horse-on-a-ranch-in-northeastern-wyoming-cxaf1n

God Bless,                                                                                                                                                   Wayne
