Hand Of Man

I no more than let all of you know, that I would be only sharing three images per post beginning on my last post, and I have already decided to double that number, at least for today.

Most of you now me primarily as a nature photographer, and for many years an auto racing photographer, but I have both professionally and often for the enjoyment of it all, photographed architectural subjects both for fun and money.

I especially could not help myself when old, craggy, wood or brick subjects appeared in front of me. A perfect time for black & white.

Old subjects are perfect for monotone, colorless images.

I walked past this craggy and twisted old foot bridge several times, before I Finally decided to photograph it. I loved it’s old gnarly appearance and I found monotone was the only way to do it justice.

Black and white remained my theme for old buildings of wood or cement, as well as a backcountry, very old covered bridge that was being used for auto traffic.

I would never consider black and white as the only way to display old manmade structures.

This old lighthouse (with gulls) visually “popped out” with its warm red color in front a cool blue sky.

Contrast at its best.

Finally this old building which was used to explore the stars at night, popped out at me when I saw those warm but bright colors of the sun, set against a background of an impending storm.

Love to live, & live to love

May God Bless,
Wayne
