Saying Goodbye

A fair amount of the Christian (and other) world might well be dancing and cheering today. John MacArthur has died. I am saddened, as he was one of the few straight up Bible teachers left in national ministry. Unlike some who followed John, I did not worship him, but I long ago recognized the value in someone who preached the Gospel “straight up” if you will. He commented on our world in accordance to what the Bible said about what is happening. He compared verses to what is happening today. He did not add to those meanings, but he never ran away from laying it out there, straight up and without fear.

He was hated by many, loved by others, and simply apreciated by some like me.

Do understand, his style was fairly softspoken and not dramatic.

Most of that hate, came from those who would consider themselves Christian. His insistence on Biblical honesty, is actually what drew many tothers o him, such as me.

I have been noticing some changes recently in pastors that I listen to who are of the more traditional style. I like and follow several of them. They however do not usually want to offend anyone and they ‘back off” if you will, if they think any human being anywhere might take offense to what they, or what the Bible says.

MacArthur preached openly and honestly as to what was happening in the world.

I get that because on rare occasions I have that same issue. Many cannot cope with the truth or so I have learned.

Of course, those that dislike what I have to say, are tiny in number coompared to John.

I now do see some of those more likable preachers, are speaking about all the false meaning to verses that is being fed to church goers. They are becoming more like MacArthur, not less.

Time is growing shorter and we need honest straight up messages, not those who worry that they are not being politically correct enough.

The message of the Bible is one of Godliness verses satanic messages. I finally see some of the best traditional preachers, warning of false preachers and profits, and false doctrine.

I am proud of them for doing what they know they have to do.

God bless them.

Things are coming together. The time is getting nearer. Straight up messages about what God has to say, via His book, need to be front and center.

If many preachers today, did that, they would of course lose some of their followers, who live on political correctness.

I may not know much, but I believe a good change based on Biblical truth will be taking place soon.

I both hope and pray, that what I am seeing from some of the politically correct preachers, will light a fire of truth in more who stand in front of congregations.

Now for a few images just for fun.

Orb webs and dew. One of my favorite subjects.
