Today’s post, centers on images of nature, which is not unusual, and also as is the norm, there are varying subjects within the nature category.
Everything but, the kitchen sink.
There have been many times, when in my imagination, I have dreamed pictures that have not yet happened. It is shocking just how often, those dreams bare fruit down the road. The Smoky Mountain sunset, and the image of a fawn that you see in today’s images, lived in my dreams long before they became a reality.
Let us begin with a dreamy soft (slow shutter speed),image from the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. The moss that accompanies the water, keeps the location (back in a forest). front and center.

Sunset in those same Smokey Mountains, also has a somewhat dreamy quality to it.

Sunrise in Utah
The rock forms of Utah are a different animal and they are powerful subjects even when they live (photographically) within the confines of a silhouette.

Utah after sunrise. The centerpiece of this image is if you know me, is of course, contrast.
Soft, clear blue skies, and texture ridden rock, make for a pleasing dichotomy of that area.

One Brown Pelican seems to want to join a group of White Pelicans. I captured this in Texas on the Gulf of America in Texas.

I was pleased to be afforded the opportunity get up close and personal with this guy.

A Black-crowned Night Heron. I would guess this is Horicon Marsh NWR in Wisconsin.

The winters can be hard in northeastern Illinois where this Whitetail deer was captured. Captured photographically that is.

In another location (Wisconsin), and another time (late spring), this fawn took a moment to examine the stranger (me) and my camera.

An immature Snowy Owl heads for the sky. This was in Wisconsin.

No, this image of a Bull Frog has not been altered beyond a bit (a little bit) of added contrast.
The right time of day, the right time of year, and a willing subject was all that was needed.

A chubby but cute adult Raccoon poses nicely only a few feet from my car.

Turtles, especially Snapping Turtles, were always a favorite subject of mine.

Springtime, affords us the opportunity, depending on where you live, to simply drive around, and park your car near most roadsides, and make colorful images.
This is Phlox I believe.

A dew covered damselfly

This image was for me, more about color and natural design than it was the Milkweed Beetles you see below.

Finally, let us close today’s photo journey with three beautiful American Avocets. I made this image on the edge of a lake in New Mexico.

For people who are fortunate and have found a good Christian church, they say I have found Jesus.
They did not find Christ Jesus He found them. I did not find Christ, He found me. He is looking for you to come His way and join Him right now.
Discover Christ and let Him guide you and cover you with Salvation.
For eternity!!
May God Bless,
Wayne
