Birds Scapes & A Turtle

Let us begin with a Water Pipit. The bird below with dinner in its mouth, is the alpine race, of that Pipit, and we are at about 13,000 feet when I made the image. The state was Colorado.

Ah the male Yellow Warbler. The image was made in southern Wisconsin.

This little gray bird was in fact, photographed at a bird feeding stating. I wonder how many images I have made at such locations?

Finally a Painted Turtle making it’s way across some open territory. One of my favorite wildlife subjects are turtles. I was probably kneeling on the ground when I made this.

Let us leave the animal world and study the land if you will.

I was high on a mountain when I made this sunrise image in northern Utah.

These next two were made as the sun dropped lower in the sky, and shadows became a big a part of the image. Very beautiful South Dakota rock.

Drama can be in and of itself a subject.

The interesting thing about today’s closing landscape, is that it was made in summer. Over 14,000 feet in western Colorado.
