Well, today’s post is about a wide variety of subjects. The only thing missing is the kitchen sink.
The rising sun bathed this New Mexico land and lake, in breathtaking light. I was on a small mountain when I made the image.

Below we find some of the most amazing light ever. This is a water inlet from Lake Michigan in Wisconsin. The clouds, the bank and trees, and the water and the light itself, were composed as best I could at sunrise.

The American Avocet is a very special and beautiful shorebird. I captured these three in New Mexico while I worked the edge of a pond.

The scene below is that of an old Mormon settler’s cabin, in the Grand Teton Mountains of Wyoming. One of America’s most photographed spots.

There is always another day, different light, and a different way of looking at everything.
Below are the same mountains a short way up the road, minus the cabin.

This butterfly was perched on the hood of my car just after sunset. Never let an image escape just because of circumstances. I attached my electronic flash and made the image anyway.

The Thirteen Lined Ground Squirrel is one of my favorite small mammals around home. They will pose for an amazingly long time.

Aptly named, White Sands New Mexico. Notice this scene was made with what is pretty much side light. That makes the furrows in the sand stand out and separate. . It gives us dimension.

Falling water and a slow shutter speed.

Frozen water that was once falling water.

A very old film image. This is Copper Falls in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

A male Bufflehead Duck in some “wavy” water.

A Rough Legged Hawk in descent.

A Bee Fly and flower. I was “always” on the lookout for photographic “combos” like this.

Our subjects are important and in photography, light is often the centerpiece of the image.
This Snowy Egret appeared out of the darkness of the shadows at Horicon Marsh NWR in Wisconsin.
Exposure was oh so important here. The streams of sunlight hit the Egret so that for me, to have a great, dramatic exposure, I probably used a gray card reading of the bright spots, which cast the shadows into a mysterious darkness.
Sometimes we get lucky.

Next subject.
In Christianity, Salvation, is provided through Grace, and acceptance from us, of what Christ did on the Cross. That does not mean, there is nothing for us to do. Worship and legitimate attempts to follow God’s orders, are part in parcel to Salivation. We will fail as the humans we are, but our sincerity of faith, and our desire to please God, along with His Grace, will in the end, carry us to Heaven.
Grace, and faith, in what Jesus did for us, is the only road to Heaven
It is up to you, and me to decide.
God Bless,
Wayne
