Variety of Theme

My favorite subject for outdoor photography, is variety. Everything and anything.
The next few posts here will entertain that idea.

Let us begin with what is not usually a favorite of the masses. That would be nature in the abstract.

There are abstracts everywhere in and out of nature. I speak of natural combinations of light or color, movement and more.

Whether it is a splashing wave at sunrise, with arrested movement via light and shutter speed, or a softly muted look at clouds and sun, the abstractions here are for the most part natural. Created on the spot as it happened. We only need the imagination to “see” them, and the knowledge to capture what we see.

The image below has one specific thing in common with the two abstracts, the color of light is in many ways, a subject in and of itself.

The science and sky exploratory you see below is being lit by some colorful late afternoon light, while some very ominous storms get ready to attack from the rear.

Speaking of light.

This image is that of a marsh, with once again some storm clouds and this time what I believe to be early light.

Into the animal world.

A Sandhill Crane and marsh.

A male Goldfinch keeping himself handsome if you will.

Little critters are wildlife too.

A male Yellow-headed Blackbird.

A Macro of a beetle and dew.

More beetle and dew. Notice that this one is more “clean & simple than the one above. Simplicity is often, not always but often, more powerful than is the complex..

Four (yes four not three) young Great-blue Herons scouting out the territory. At this point, they are absent the ability to fly.

Finally, one of my favorite ducks, the Lesser Scaup. This handsome chap is a male.

Our time in ths life is a varied journey.

Walking a straight line for the entire trip, is as far as I can see, impossible. We all stumble and fall. Getting back up, is the secret.

Actually God, the one and only God via the Trinity, has given us a potenial victory over our failings and wrongdoings.

We should all celebrate, but instead large sections the human race either produce false Biblical truths as to what we need to do to fulfill God’s will, or suggest because of the persecution of Christ, we can do whatever we want.

There is a book called the Bible which makes it quite clear, that Almighty God has provided an answer.

He provided His son, who was in fact God Himslef incarnate on this earth, to take our beating for us. For His body to die, literally, so we could live on in Heaven by acceptence of such.

He paid our price. He felt the pain just as you and/or I would.

The point is, God loves us, but we need to undertand, and accept His sacrifice.

With a major American election looming large for this Tuesday, I pray that we remember that we are one nation. My fear is that we will realize that we are no longer such.

I suspect thaat it might be days or weeks before the election is called final.

May God Bless and take care,
Wayne
