The Color of Light, & Other Stuff

One of my favorite photographic subjects is light. With light comes color. Cool, warm and every conglomeration that we might think possible.

This Utah rock silhouette was captured in the cool blue skies of dusk.

The Grand Tetons are also susceptible to cool light.

Cool light; bit by bit becomes warmer as the sun enters the picture.

Now for a animal or two from the mammal category. Our distant cousins. Sort of.

This Bison calf was I believe, in Custer State Park in South Dakota.

Memory fails, but I am sure that mom is nearby.

I will never forget these young Marmots “play fighting” for over half an hour. They were found way up, and I mean way up, in the Colorado Rockies in Rocky Mountain NP.

This Mule Deer buck was photographed I believe, in New Mexico.

Ah, then comes the macro.

Just a long blade of grass with some dew. Fascinating light, and with a dark grassy background are also a part of it all.

It would be easy to just trample over this subject without a second thought. I have been in the field with many who have done just that.

Photography can be about subjects for sure. It is however a visual medium and light, shadow, color and design are in and of themselves, worth making the image.

Of course plant life, be it the popular and obvious, or the less sought after and the seldom remembered, can make interesting images.

Once again, a seemingly mundane subject, “flattered” with some interesting light, is worth the effort.

Below is an “:almost” abstract image of a bit of plant life.

Finally I will close with a tiny damselfly blanketed with a gorgeous subject called dew. It is guaranteed to turn most subjects into interesting ones, although I admit this little critter would be interesting no matter what.

May God Bless, and please read below.

Mathew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words will never pass away.

John 16:33
“In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart, I (Jesus) have overcome the world.”

Revelation 17
They will make war on the Lamb (Jesus), amd the Lamb will conquer them. For He is Lord of lords, and king of kings, and those with Him are called and chosen and faithful.

Revelation 19
He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which He (Jesus) is called is the Word of God. On His robe and on His thigh, His name is written, King of kings, and Lord of lords.

Revelation 21:4
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, for former things have passed away. He who is seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things knew”

Remember the above verse, as it brings comfort and truth. Those things are vacant in much of this world, including in false churches who fail to interpret and share the Word faithfully.
