I have a love for country roads, and even more so for deep forest roads, mountain roads, and desert roads. Below we have two desert roads.
New Mexico and Utah

It is a mistake to think that deserts never have water. Beautiful and reflective waters make a powerful team with the stark reality of the rocks.
Utah.

Wyoming has is share of beautiful rock forms.
Take note, the rock form in the image below is composed off center for a reason. Sometimes, not always but often, symmetrical imagery with things like a giant rock or a tree, are stagnant and too artificial looking.

Next a small look at the animal world.
A Pronghorn also often called an antelope, in South Dakota in Wind Cave N.P.

While this bird is not caged, it is a zoo creature. I enjoyed its antics as it walked around the “cement pond” (shades of the Beverly Hillbillies).

Sometimes just a shape is better than detail.
A duck, likely a Mallard, at sunrise in a harbor. Notice that despite the fact that this duck is moving, I placed it well off center with only a little distance left to swim. That is because the wake it leaves behind, tells us the story of movement. He has only a small distance it can still swim, but that means he has come a ways on his journey.

I am not sure what these next “little critters” are, but in their own way they are pretty. Dramatic light helps with that.

Finally I would be remiss if I did not include a couple of sunrises or sunsets.
A Great Lakes lighthouse and pier at sunrise.
Notice that once again, I kept the main figure out of dead center. I definitely do not always shoot that way, but about 90% of the time I would guess .I am more likely to place an object dead center in a vertical composition than a horizontal one.

Finally, back to the Utah desert and another off center composition at sunrise or sunset. My memory fails me as to which.

Next I will move on to life or the world if you will, rather than imagery..
I love change when it shines a new light. What was convoluted can be made simple and in order.
Muddy waters can give way to clean waters. Good replaces evil. Usefulness wins over meaningless.
We live in a world today where change is suggested, or more often ordered, for the sake of change. Nothing is gained, and usually something of value is lost.
Those that suggest, or more often order a change, rarely understand what they were changing from.
Change can by good. It can be Godly and life saving. However when it is meaningless, or worse, when it is evil, it must be pointed out, and fought against.
I have always liked silence, but this is not the time for us to be “steam-rolled” by people who represent the worst of things.
I know that teaching good over evil is a most difficult challenge in a world where evil gets the headlines, and morality, love and Grace are ignored, but if we do not fight back, we might get what we deserve.
Luke 21:8
And He (Jesus) said, take heed that you are not deceived. Many will come in My name saying I am Christ, and that time grows near. Go ye not therefore after them.
In other words, be careful who you follow.
May the Holy Spirit of God, guide you, and reside in you.
