Whatever Comes Up

Today’s post is definitely another one of those where I opened a few folders and chose whatever came up for posts.

Of course you all know my propensity towards sunrise, sunset. I especially love foggy sunrises in either wetlands or prairies.

Below is one which was one of my favorite mornings.

Bison calf in Custer State Park in South Dakota.

Male House Finch chowing down at a bird feeder.

There’s nothing like a metallic green ad black beetle covered in dew drops.

Slow, careful movements in prairies or woodlands will lead you to many delightful surprises. Of course caterpillars are slow to move and usually easy to photograph.

Orb webs covered in dew are numerous at the right time of year.

Flowers with deep dark forest backgrounds, will “pop”, even with dark colors.

Ah yes, back to sunrise/sunset.

This is another sunrise.

There’s nothing quite like the late day sun skimming the surface of a pond, with rocks looking like light bulbs.

There are pictures everywhere.

Finally a coming storm on Lake Michigan. A few clouds can make a simple scene spectacular.

If you have visited this blog for any amount of time, I am sure you have noticed it has for the most part, been recently absent of politics. Still a lot of images, and much talk about my religious beliefs, but not much on politics.

It is often hard to say which makes the most people angry, politics or religion. Hopefully, my imagery will never provoke anger.

The truth is, you cannot entirely separate religion and politics, and second, it’s my blog so I guess I should publish whatever I wish, if it is not violent in and of itself, or pornographic

I am as political as I ever was, and I grow weary of “biting my tongue” so to speak.

For today, I will stick to imagery, and maybe a Bible verse, but to some degree, politics might reveal its ugly head soon.

God Bless,
Wayne

Thessalonians 4:16-17
For the Lord (Jesus) Himself will descend from Heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an Archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ (they are physically dead but are born again and saved) will rise first. Then we who Are alive (and saved, and are still on this earth, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord Jesus in the air, so we will always be with the Lord for ever after.
