My post today begins with images, but ends with some thoughts.

Firstly, as many of you know, I loved doing close-up or as it is also called, macro photography.

There are an endless supply of subjects. Below we find “little critters” which I certainly devoted some time to. Dragonflies, caterpillars, spiders, moths and butterflies are often, depending on where you are, just waiting for you and your camera.

Patience and persistence are the qualities you need for this.

Believe it or not, as near as memory tells me, the Snowy Owl photos below, are of three different owls, They are each young “first winter” females. Not the best Snowy Owl images I have made for sure, but the memories that that still rattle around in my brain, say they were great moments for me.

I can only hope that the respect I gave my subjects, was why I photographically captured so many.

If memory serves, I captured (photographically) this Sharp-tailed Grouse in northwest Wisconsin.

Finally, the inimitable but very important scavenger of the skies, the Turkey Vulture.

I would imagine that some who view this blog would ask if I actually attempt to make people angry with some of the non photographic things I write about.

The short answer is no. How do I serve to profit intellectually or in any fashion by angering people?

The difference in me and some others in how I approach such things is, if that’s what happens (angering some people), I can live with it. In no part of my life, has every single person who has come in contact with me, liked me. I appreciate those who do, but lose no sleep over those who do not.

I am an outspoken Christian. I speak of true Biblical Christianity. I give respect to those who believe otherwise. They have that right. I do get angry at false Christians, but they too have the right to believe that. I get intensely angry at religions who would harm, including rape and murder, others because of what they have horrifyingly been taught.

How thoughtless of me!!!

My political and sociological beliefs are mirrors of my religious beliefs. They begin and end with that.

I would never take away from anybody reading this, the right to believe what they want, but I reserve the right to attempt to sway them to what I believe

Mostly this blog is about photography. Even in my image making, if you look real close, you can see some of my opinions. A bit of who I am..
