Without a doubt, among my favorite subjects were “little critters” such as dragon and damselflies, caterpillars and such. Often colorful and much easier to photograph than many think. Move slow and deliberate, not in a sneaky fashion.
The first two images are of a critter on a branch over a pond. Instead of using my trusty 105mm macro (micro) lens, or my 500mm telephoto, sometimes with extension tubes or a 1.4 converter, I used a 300mm lens straight up. A small crop after I got home was all I needed for this colorful dragonfly.

This next one was also perched above some water. That same 300 was used here.

For this head on shot I used my trusty 105 macro. This subject was not over a pond although note the water drop between those big eyes.

This fury caterpillar was inching along a thick bit of grass when I caught it. In the photographic sense that is. Every image of a little critter need not show the whole animal. The visual feeling of being so close, has its own sense of value.

From bugs to birds now we have a male Northern Bobwhite Quail.

A green Heron fishing.

Female Hooded Merganser.

Baird’s Sandpipers.

That’s it for today’s photo journey.
Psalms 24
How many are your Works Lord? In wisdom you made them all; The earth is full of your creatures.
I hope you enjoyed today’s journey but of course, there is more to life than just fun.
News from the once great city of San Francisco, finds that city government is using a few million dollars of tax payers funds to buy vodka to hand out to alcoholics.
Next I would assume, they will be handing out small children to pedophiles so they can “relieve” themselves via their perversion, and feel more comfortable.
Now if they only cared at all about the people who put effort in living each day, while attempting to do the right thing.
If the alcoholics, drug addicts, the sexual deviates that flock to San Francisco do not need help, but rather appeasement and encouragement to keep doing what they do, maybe we could get help for the mayor and other politicos so they can ascertain how to make their city even worse than it is, which seems to be their goal.
Satan I am sure loves San Francisco. He has so many willing accomplishes there.
It might be that they are not evil, but that a life in California leaves one susceptible to mental illness. Especially among the politicos. Insanity is worn like a badge there and commons sense is treated like a disease.
May God Bless,
Wayne
