No End To The Subjects

One thing about being an outdoor photographer “basing” your imagery on nature, but willing to grab everything you see, without a doubt, you will never run out of subjects. The unique thing is, there are definately needs in the market for an endless list of subjects as well.

We begin today with a couple of birds. What could be better than a cooperative Red-tail hawk, preening right in front of you?

Well, maybe a male Goldfinch striking a pose as if he was a paid model.

Mammals can be just as much fun as birds, I caught this Beaver as it was in the process of damming up a small pond in the northwestern corner of Wisconsin. I spent maybe thirty minutes before it, and therefore I, vacated the area.

I used my car as a blind in each of the above images.

Of course I was on my hands and knees in order to capture this image of a bee, which was covered in pollen while it took nectar from a flower.

Sometimes what’s good for one subject, such as this male Red Fox, is not so good for another, such as this recently diseased squirrel.

Our job is to take the picture, tell the story, and let the animals do what they do.

I have often found Blue-winged Teal a cooperative subject for my camera. The males you see below paraded back and forth as if I was paying them for it.

Ah sunrise on a “Great Lake”! Getting up early has always been worth it to me.

I was driving a rural part of southwest Texas when I came upon this “somewhat” restored 19th Century ranch house. I liked the ranch and I liked the morning light (and shadows). There Is always something to capture with our cameras.

Notice that compositionally, these two images are very different.

The first image shows a small bridge on a creek, which draws our eyes right to the ranch house. A “leading line” if you will. The second image of a brick wall that does not lead us, but separates us from that house. They still both work but the second image becomes about the wall, not the house.

I was okay with that, because, well, I liked the old wall.

Next, the road to Salvation!

I know I spend a lot of time writing about Salvation, and the Savior Jesus. The time draws near. As we watch anti Bible, and anti-Semitism sweep our college campuses, it becomes clearer and clearer, we are entering a time where believers best read and understand their Bible.

With all I write, I still fail much more than I succeed within my Christianity, I am successful only when I leave my personal ego behind, and impart the necessity of what the Bible says.

I will tell you this, the good news is, the Blood of Christ, is not offered in our prosecution, but in our defense.

Despite what some churches, and all Christian based cults teach, the truth is that the only way to Heaven is via a genuine acceptance of and faith in, what Christ did for us on the Cross. We do have an obligation to share the Word. We remain sinners until we reach Heaven, but we are cleansed because of how Jesus took our beating and our shame, so we could become covered with His righteousness. Something that is impossible any other way. We then of course, have the responsibility to share the Gospel, and work to become sin free, even as we fail from time to time.

Being human, and therefore a failure from time to time, is no excuse to ignore what God calls us to do. To spread the Word and do so with knowledge and love, is the calling for all Born Again Christians.

We must ask ourselves, are we in fact born again Christians?

If your “church” does not want you to do that, do it anyway. We are called to conform to Christ’s Church, not to church hybrids and those who put themselves first ahead of Almighty God.

All false churches, will in one form or another, diminish Christ and what He did, and often preach the Gospel of works over salvation. That gains power to those entities, and weakens those members as that church and their teachings become their god.

Those religions and churches, are at their best, wrong and leading you in a bad direction, and at their worst they are heretics.

The shed Blood of Christ, is the foundation of all Salvation.

God Bless,
Wayne
