Today’s post is the final in my series on macros. We took one side trip into the world of manmade subjects, but here we finally are.
To me, there was nothing more inviting than some raindrops or some morning dew on grasses, orb webs or plants, to get my photographic juices flowing.
Much, much care must be taken to not knock those water droplets with your tripod legs, camera lens, hands or your feet.

Of course flowers are art in and of themselves. The same techniques as all close-ups with the proper use of the light at hand, and there you are.

Anytime you find small patterns on an object, it becomes a natural for making macros.
This cut tree received a night’s worth of frost and I received a welcome subject for a macro.
It is nice to have a macro subject that is not going anywhere, and will not move in the wind.

Then there are butterflies again. This shot was unique for me. It was getting dark but there was still some ambient light. This little fellow landed on the hood og my car. A macro lens and an electronic flash, and there you are. Not fully natural but intriguing.

This close-up a feather shows just how beautiful details up close and personal, can be.
The found feather below was carried home by me and the image was created in my studio. Sidelight which creates tiny shadows, adds texture and shows off the design of the subject.

There is no end to the possibilities with macro photography.
My next post will begin a new series, with a new subject. Birds, might be the most popular subject in the world for nature photographers. With good reason. So let us explore the world of avian image making next.
God Bless,
Wayne
Proverbs 23:9
Speak not in the ears of a fool, for he will despise the wisdom of your words.
Second Corinthians 11:13
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the Apostles of Christ.
(False religion exists among many who label themselves purveyors of the Word of God, and His book called the Bible. Care and prayer are needed to weed out the chaff from the wheat.)
