Today’s macro selections are all of the insect or spider world. What you see below is a form of wildlife photography. Up close and personal. I enjoyed this form of picture taking as much, and sometimes more than any other.

From a tech standpoint, I of course used one combo or another, of macro close focus lenses, extension tubes on a normal lens, or on very rare occasions, a telephoto lens and then a crop in the digital darkroom. On a few occasions I used electronic flash. The flash was most frequently off camera to one side or another.

I will burden you with one more “macro mania”, post, but for next week I will depart for a “Hand of Man” post. It will include manmade subjects from our far back history, ro modern times. A few, may be nature-manmade combinations.
