Today let us visually celebrate the red rock country of the desert southwest. Specifically, the Utah, Navajo Sandstone country.
The images below are from Arches N. P., Capital Reef, Monument Valley, Valley of The Gods State Park, and just along the highways and byways. As is often the case, a fair percentage were created during the first or last rays of sunlight, on any given day. I am also always attempting to share the shapes of these monoliths, sometimes by using the silhouettes that develop at the hours of sunrise and sunset, via backlight.
The fourth image is the exception to Utah. That was made in west Texas.

One of the most rewarding aspects of life, is seeing and absorbing all of the beauty and power that stands before us. Many people struggle to see it, and some never do. It pays to appreciate what is given us, in a world with so much hate.
I found the pretty poster you see below on the internet. I never realized until recently, how many in the “Christian” world do not understand who the namesake of that religious order really was and is. Christ that is. I think most do not think about it. That’s understandable I guess, but it is just not my way of things.

Christ, is a position held. In some respects a job. Jesus, held that position. He was the Christ.
In the beginning, Jesus, was the Word. The Word was with us. He was there when the universe was created, and really was the Creator.
Jesus, is also the Son of God, and He is the Son of man. He was God in the form of man.
God walked this earth in the person of Jesus. He held 100% of the deity of God, yet walked this earth as a man who got hungry, his feet hurt, he felt the pain from those stakes as they were driven into his hands and feet.
He sinned not, but the part of Him which was man, had to be as vulnerable as man would be.
He bore the sins of the world on His shoulders. Including yours and mine.
He knew what it meant to be human, and what it meant to be the one and only God. As Christ Jesus, He became our representative.
As our Lord, He took on the pain of the human flesh, and the sin of the world as Jesus the Christ. Yet, as God, he remained as pure as the driven snow, and held within Him, all wisdom.
So Jesus, the God/Man, became the Christ.
The Trinity is not a simple concept. Everybody thinks about it, and has questions in how it works.
I am a practical guy and I believe in the one and only triune God.
The Trinity.
Jesus, is the one and only God, who was manifest as man. His Spirit, is God in spirit form.
The Holy spirit.
He is the Trinity. Do not let anybody sell you less. Jesus served the purpose of walking as a man, with man, to attach our sins to Him, as His human body died for us.
We cannot ourselves ever become pure enough to spend time in the precense of of God, in Heaven. Through unadulterated faith in what He did for us, we can however become clean enough to do so through Christ. The Blood of Christ cleanses, and makes us pure.
It is a gift from God. Not of our own doing.
We all should litterally thank God each and every day, for the opportunity, through, Jesus Christ, to achieve Salvation. It is the only way to become clean enough. Certainly not by our own doing, which the Bibles tells us in many places. Only faith in the actions of Jesus can bring Salvation! The Bible tells us that dozens and dozens of times.
That does not mean, that we are automaically forgiven sin. The longer you are Born Again, the more you will recognize sin and fefuse sin. When we fail, and each and every one of us will at times fail, the more we should seek the Lord for forgivness. Genuinly.
May God Bless,
Wayne
John 5:24 We are saved by grace through faith. Those who believe with all their heart are rescued from death to life. Those who have faith in Jesus are not dead but alive. They will not be judged guilty of their sins for they were already freed from shame
Below is a link to some guys who work hard, and often take abuse for what they know to be the truth.
