Feathered Frineds

There is no photography, if there is no subject. Seems logical. Therefore, mostly I share with you subjects. I always tended to talk to my subjects, even if it was a sky or a rock (really, I‘m okay), and certainly when it was a living animal. Such as our avian friends the birds. My life was full and robust when there were birds in it.

The White Pelicans and the Sandhill Cranes below were among my favorite subjects. They fly in varied, photogenic, and harmonious formations.

This next one is a Turkey Vulture swooping past me as it peers towards the ground, no doubt scanning the surface for any dead critters to feast on.

A new species to the photo files was always welcomed.

The only location that I remember photographing cattle Egrets, was just a few miles south of my house. Well, then again, it seems as though there were a few on a trip to Missouri as well.

Wherever, whatever and whenever, below is a Cattle Egret.

I showed you Pelicans in the air, how about a couple on the ground near the water? The critters by their feet I believe to be Black Skimmers.

There are no rules to dictate how much detail any bird photo must have. This looks to be a Great-blue Heron. Obviously, at either sunrise or sunset.

I have been blessed in my life to have photographed quite a few Snowy Owls. The one you see below is a young, first winter female, as the large amount of black suggests.

Lastly, a female Mallard Duck preening while mired in Duckweed.

“Faith is never an easy journey, that’s because it requires faith to accomplish. “

I promised myself to keep it somewhat brief today so that will be it.

God Bless,
Wayne
