We just have a mix of a few images today.

If you look very carefully you will see not only a Whitetail Deer doe in the image below, but you can also barely see her fawn to our right.

I stopped the car to make this image largely because I loved the light that illuminates her.

Photography is about light first and foremost, and great subjects next. Without light, there is no photography.

I share this photo because I have had precious few opportunities to photograph wild horses.

When I lived in the west I was privileged to see wild horses in Colorado and Wyoming, but alas no camera was with me.

The image below shows (barely) about twelve wild horses a the top of the hill. The location was Theodore Roosevelt N.P. in North Dakota.

Certainly no award winner but occasionally, because of the subject, we take what we can get.

This regal chap is an American kestrel .I have made many images of these guys but I always thought this portrait made here in Wisconsin, had a regal quality to it.

As we head into winter I thought it was time explore a little ice. Everything in nature and often out of it, was a subject to me.

Yesterday I went out to buy groceries at around 5:40 a.m. (old habits are hard to break) and the temp was 12 degrees Fahrenheit with a stiff breeze. Brrrrr!!!
