Flower Power, + A Wing & A Prayer

Today let is begin with a few simple images of flowers and other plants in which a couple have hitchhikers, and some others are part of a greater scene.

Flowers and other plants make great foregrounds for landscape imagery. They cans set the scene for the background, or be just as important as is the background,

The first image below was made by me in the Colorado Rockies, and the second in the high desert of Utah. The flowers and the plants help make these beautiful locations even more appetizing for the photographer and future viewers.

The next two images becomeboth a platform and a background for two interesting Little critters of first the worm, and then the insect family.

Leaves and other portions of plants work well as macros even when they are minus any flower blossoms.

Of course flowers can become the entire photo. Every image of a flower, does not necessarily even need to show the whole flower. Of course if you are shooting for a field guide then make sure every indefinable aspect of the flower shows.

A Prayer

What “they” may or may not take away, when the opportunities arises.

They can take away freedom

They can take away your dignity

They can take away your car

They can take away your gun for protection

They can take you from your family

They can take away your liberty

They can take away your ability to be heard.

They can take away the internet

They can take away your computer

They can take away your phone

They can take away your books

They can take away your Bible

They cannot take away your prayers

You can communicate with Almighty God, without a pen or pencil, without a phone or a computer, and even without an actual voice.

If you can think, you can pray

If you struggle with thought, God will help you

Approach God with reverence, and humility, either out loud or in the quietness of your own heart

Never let anybody stop you from praying

It is a gift from God.

He might be waiting to hear from you right now
