Seasons Come, & Seasons Go

Seasons Come & Seasons Go

As we work our way to the end of another autumn, I thought I would share some landscapes of the season.

These are in fact all in the category of being landscapes, although normally I would share fall macros and other such things.

The images you see below were made a long time ago. I have made thousands since then. Some began their journey on film, but most are digital originals which began in the jpg format rather than raw files.

Equipment and technology changes. The vision of individual photographers, and the passing on of what we see and how we feel about it, does not.

I always love not only the mixes of red & gold, but the mixes of green and red.

Below you will find water in a couple images, including a small forest waterfall.

You find one where I make use of an old wooden footbridge. Sometimes the addition of “the sign of man”, especially when it is a weathered old building or bridge, adds an atmosphere to fall that might otherwise be missing.

The final image in the group was made in a remote section of Wisconsin’s Nicolet National Forest in the first light of morning.

There is nothing better than being alone or with one special friend, deep in a wild area on a quiet autumn day. Introspect is a guarantee.

Seasons come and seasons go and it is up to the nature photographer to capture those seasons for posterity’s sake.

Mood and flavor abound and is seen regularly in autumn.

Also it sells.

May God richly bless,
Wayne
