Today I thought I would stick to birds, mammals and a reptile as subjects.
I love all of the Prairie Dogs of the west. At one time I had a few thousand, or so it seemed, on the twelve acres of property in Colorado that I and my wife leased to keep our horses on.
The duo below was photographed in Wyoming I think. I have shared imagery before of these two when they were back to back as to look for predators. Be they on the ground or in the air, there are many critters who love to turn this species into breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I caught (with my camera) this female Ring-tailed Pheasant as she slogged her way through the snow. It looks a bit like she is ice skating.
Both this pheasant and the Prairie Dogs were photographed from my car. Animals get used to cars and they will often tolerate vehicles when we use them as photo blinds.

I love Kestrels and have had pretty good success when they hunt voles in the ditches along the road.

All spring, summer and early fall, whether I was on foot or in the car I always looked for turtles.
This Mississippi Red-bellied Slider was photographed in fact near that great river as I hiked with my camera and tripod looking for finds like this.
You never know unless you try.

I love big birds especially those in the wading bird category.
The Sandhill Crane below was going through a series of contortions as it preened. I was in my auto and it could not have cared less about my presence. A natural artist they are.

I can see you!
Caught these Pronghorns in north central Colorado many, many moons ago.

Photographing wildlife is fun and educational. We learn as we go.
Have a great day and may God Bless,
Wayne
