Freedom of Speech

There have been times in my life, when it may have been suggested by some, that I do not believe in free speech. I have been known to be a critic of some things, that people say. The truth is, I very much believe in free speech. I at least attempt to practice free speech on these very pages. You can do the same on your blog.

Suggesting in words (speech), that anyone should be injured or killed, or their property should be damaged, falls outside of the boundaries that most of the civilized world agrees to as free speech. Me too.

Now if you are speaking (or writing) in a forumn that belongs to me, I have a right to stop vulgar or hatefull speech as I consider it to be. It is after all, my forumn.

I am often amused at those who support hate speech, then become backwards in their beliefs when somebody says something about the hater. In other words, free speech is absolute, until someone says something they don’t like about the one who’s speech they are defending. Then they seek to silence them. That’s a common occurence.

Disagreements about speech is normal, silencing it is wrong.

I have been around for a while, and never in my life has free speech been under assault as it is right now. The assault comes from those who themselves, are the champions of spreading hate. I do defend their right to do so through honest speech, with no physical component to follow. They often want to silence those with an apposing viewpoint.

It seems that free speech, belongs only to them.

Free speech with the above caviats, is a God and in this country, govenrment given entity.

Next I think I should, broach a subject that I straddle at times, but really never take straight on if you will. It is time.

This forumn has become one where faith and religion is a common subject.

False Christianity

First let me say, everyone has every right to their own beliefs. I speak here today of two “religions” who suggest there members are Chrisitians, when they are clearly not. They have a right to their beliefs, and I have a right to call them on it.They also have a right to a made up version of the Bible, but again we all have a right to call them on it.

In both cases, that is free speech.

There are a whole lot of rights going on currently. Having a right, does not make it the right thing to do.

I have the right to pass gas while shopping in a crowded store, but I choose not to. I can burp outloud in a religeous service, but it would be mannerless to do so.

Since Christ was born into this world, there have been those who have argued that He is not the son of God, or he never really existed. Over the years, centuries if you will, it has become apparent to all, even religions such as Islam, that He actually walked this earth. Recent years have proven through both artifacts and olden time testimonies, that He walked this earth a second time after His death on the Cross.

When my wife and I moved to Colorado, my first action was to find a job, which I did, my second, and I was oh so wise (not really) , was to quit that job and offer myself up to a commercial photography studio for free if they would teach me.

I was accepted and why not, (free labor), by this entirely family owned and operated business. I went about going out with the commercial photographer, and assisting him and even snapped the shutter here and there on things like banks or new condominiums.

That family was kind and generous to me. One day religion came into focus and my mentor mentioned they were Mormon. That meant nothing to me one way or the other, but after I left their studio for paying jobs, I then realized they were quite different from Christians. Jesus Christ to them, was a low level god who worked His way to His position. Something that you or I could do just as well.

They of course, have a right to believe such, and I have a right to set it straight as I see it..

Jahova’s Witness, believes that Christ is the renicarnation of Michael the Arc Angel. Again, they have a right to believe that, and we all have the right to expose what we know to be fiction.

Understand this, in a nation that does, or maybe I should say did welcome all beliefs to her shores, all have every right to believe what they believe, and to share that with others.

What I have realized over the years, is there are many religions who are in the business of taking portions of Christianity and the Bible, altering it, and sharing it has a “type of” Christianity. Some use the word Christian, and some do not.

They too have that right to do so, and I have the right to expose it.

They all have one thing in common. That is the altering, diminishing, or destruction of Jesus Christ. They do that because there is no Christianity, if the namesake is diminished. Lowering and redefining Christ is the only way to gain power over you or me. Especially in regards to salvation. A lesser Christ, allows them to ignore much of what He did, and who He was. That is why people like me, try to expose both the fraud and the truth.

From being the reincarnation of Michael the Arch Angel, to a “God like” critter who earned his position, and on to those denominations which merely put Him on a sort of a “backburner” if you will, so they and their “religion” can exert more power over their members. The beat goes on.

Destroy or diminish Christ, and you will have power over Christians. Simple but true.

Jesus Christ is Lord, as is the Father and the Holy Spirit. He is the part that walked this earth, died for us and resurrected, so you and I can live in Heaven if we fully accept what He did. He is the only way to wash our sins away. A free gift, based on faith.

Stop Jesus, or at least weaken Jesus, and you gain power over people. You see versions of that in every country on earth, In and out of churches.

Many if not most people who get taken by false Christian messages, are good and decent by their very nature.

That’s how it happens. Because of their decency, and a desire to please and/or believe others.

Take care with who you offer your eternity to.

God will bless, when you choose the road He made for you. It is about the message He shares, not merely about religion which so often becomes distorted to satisfy ther whims and sometimes the greed of man.

What I share here is most definatley not about me being smart. I am.far from it. I know that necause I have been a very,very slow learner.

If I can eventually “get it” and share it, anyone can if they choose.
