Don’t Sweat The Little Stuff

Some of the most fun I have had in nature photography, was locating and then creating images of “little critters”. While I had a few photographer friends who enjoyed making photos of such, others had no interest, and seemed to say “yuck”.

All in all, little critters become with practice, as easy as the big ones to photograph.

Below is just a two minute portfolio, and that’s about how long it took to put it together.

No f-stops and shutter speeds today. No scientific names or even common names. Just a small celebration on photographing little critters.

============================================================

Being a male of the species, human species that is, I have forced myself to ponder the question, what does it mean to be a man?

In particular now, when men do not seem to be in vogue.

Like any male, and I imagine I am offending most of this world’s politically correct police force by using that term, I at times get confused. Also, I imagine I am offending much of the past two generations of any kind, just by using pronouns as I do.

My father bless his heart, was a man. Do understand, that he was not perfect, as nobody is, but he had a good heart. My father never cried. Wait, now I remember, he cried when my mother died, and once when I was in my teenage years, I did something he found so egregious that he broke down. I wince in pain, as well I should, when I remember.

Being a male, and again I humbly apologize for using that pronoun, I have always been a touch sad because I felt that I fell short of my own and most of the world’s fathers.

The world today needs my father and his common sense and his “giving and never taking” heart and attitude.

You never know what you have until you lose it.

We as a world are not only celebrating our loss rather than grieving as we should be, we have become blinded to what it even means.

May God Bless, (more political incorrectness?)
Wayne
