The question has surely come to my mind and might be asked of me in regards to the political, religious, crime and freedom related articles I have published in this blog over the years, who do you think you are?
I can answer that. Sort of.
I am pretty sure I am just an ordinary guy who spends a lot of time thinking about things and then shares those things with others. If I have a goal, it is for all of us to think. I would not have you consume what’s on these pages thoughtlessly and then follow me like I am the knower of all things. I am anything but that. I am quite sure one could fill the oceans with what I do not know.
My father was a great mechanic as well as electrician and woodworker. I am at best a fair mechanic and incompetent and lousy at the rest. I know a lot about photography but have no applicable knowledge or skill for painting.
I could go on.
Many of us, maybe all of us, subscribe too much to what the world feeds us. The political world, the religious world, the social world. Oh we each pick what sounds good to us, or maybe what we want to hear, and close our minds to the rest.
What I spew onto these pages, is oft times what I think and hope is correct, in relationship to my beliefs of right and wrong. In the end, it is only my view. While I read a lot and know what is happening in this damaged world, it is only my prayers that I follow to the end. Praying straight to God Almighty, always comes first.
Each and every one of us, are given the right by God, to come to those conclusions separately. Neither a political party or an actions group, or a religion or church, or certainly not me, has domain over our Creator.
Remember God is Holy. Religions sometimes teach right, and sometimes wrong, but they are never in and of themselves Holy. The great thing about the one true God is, He is accessible “straight up” to each and every person on earth. He I believe, asks and demands a personal relationship.
When I was very young and going to Sunday school in a Lutheran church, my teacher, likely about 15 years old explained to us, how we get to heaven. She stated that because Jesus died for our sins, we all go to Heaven. At least that is, if we go to church. Wow, I was impressed. That impression vanished as my years wore on.
Back to today. We live in a very damaged world. The good and true news. is that all of this has been foretold. I know many of the Bible oriented “religious” world, interprets and reinterprets that book to say what they want it to say. Even before I began studying the Bible, it became clear by what I saw from some denominations and churches, people often bend and twist the Bible so it fits into their own personal or denominational belief systems. Oft times, that book is interpreted to be what they want their church or religion to be. Power over us is a consuming aspect for much in the Christian World.
Remember, many of the horrors of mankind, were done in the name of religions occluding Christian religions. Hitler’s Germany, Mohammed, the “crusades” in medieval Spain and more.
There are some great churches in the world. Take them one by one and not in clusters. Group prayer is powerful and very good, but personal prayer in your own loving words, is what will drive you closer to God.
Never ever let anything including people like me, get in the way of your personal one on one relationship with God. Do not turn that relationship over to others as sometimes those others are wrong or lack understanding.
I would be wrong if I did not state that all of these comments are my personal opinions. I rarely ever directly share the opinions of others and when I do, I try to remember to state that’s what I am doing.
What I will say next, will shock most of you.
When Jesus was nailed to the cross, He was the biggest sinner in the history of mankind.
Some of you are wondering if a lightening bolt came down from the sky to strike me for saying that. No.
Jesus took everybody’s sin, past, present and future, on His shoulders for us. All of it. The moment he Resurrected, He was once again pure, sinless and clean.
Sometimes it seems as though division among Christians or Christian related religions, centers on who’s more important, the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit. I do realize that different teachings in different churches produce confusion.
There is one God. The Trinity or the Triune God. At least if you are a Christian. There are three distinct personages if you will in that one God. They are however as I said, the one God.
Jesus is not just for Christmas and Easter. The reason why Jesus gets so much constant attention in all true Christian churches is that He has been provided to us, as a way to defeat sin. He is our only answer in getting to Heaven. He is not less or more than the Father or the Spirit. There is one God. He is, not only our only way to Salvation, but He leads us there as our personal Savior. It is God’s Spirit (the Holy Spirit) that fills us with knowledge, love, and hope, and which convicts us of sin. He lives inside of born again Christians
Some of the great names of the Bible, are to be learned from and held in the highest esteem. Only God however, the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit, is to be worshipped and prayed to. Not the apostles or the human family of Jesus. We pray to God, not people. About and for people yes, but not to people. No matter how holy they seem or how important they are or how much we love them.
Remember, Jesus is indeed a person, but He is also God Almighty.
Human beings, which work, preach and teach in churches are not in and of themselves, any more Holy than are any true believers. They are as great, good, bad and sometimes horrible as we are.
Why is all this not simpler? I certainly do not know for sure. I lack that sort of wisdom. I do know this, my faith in God is what leads me and guides me, and if the road sometimes seems long and difficult, it is not for me to question as it comes from almightily God. I suspect that the day they ate the fruit in the garden, everything became more difficult. Yes, I believe that actually happened.
Among church goers who assume they are believers, you cannot pick and choose from the Bible. In other words, all the obvious, humanistic aspects are believed, but everything supernatural is laughed at or at least not believed. You may be a believer, but you are not a Christian believer. God is supernatural and so are His acts. If they seem like fairly tales well maybe the Bible and the Christian faith is not what you search for. I say that, because once again, obviously God is supernatural or He is not God.
Like absolutely no time in history, the church or believers if you will, are called to evangelize. You will be laughed at by some, hated by others, and some of those people will be self considered Chrisitans. It matters not. Here or maybe there, what you say will sink in to this person or that one. They will investigate and just maybe, one of those people will come to Christ, so to speak.
You will be rewarded beyond imagination.
Revelation Chapter 19
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself.
13 And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 –
For the Lord Himself (Christ) shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Many “religions’ teach that Christ’s church (believers) will not be raptured to Heaven because the word rapture is not used in the Bible. It actually is in there in translation, but that is really irrelevant. In fact, believers that have already died will go first as Christ appears, and followed quickly by those believers (as in saved or born again) who still walk this earth. I know not when that time is but I will safely state, it is not as far off as 100 years from now. Bible prophesy of the so-called end times, is being fulfilled as we speak. You can see it every single day, as we move closer to a cashless society where we are monitored by the government and can only purchase what they say via a number we are given. Right now, in countries such as Great Britain and America, not merely third world nations, that plan is in its beginnings. It does not surprise me, because it is Biblical and I believe the Bible.
It is understandable that the secular world, ranging from simple non believers to satanists, make fun of what we call end time prophesy. The scary part is that some church going people do the same, or at least have chosen to take that part of the Word of God, and blaspheme it into a convoluted fantasy.
They literally would rather you join the secular world and remain unaware of your future, because this portion of the Bible embarrasses them. It was not written in a style where they can easily explain it, so they toss it out as all symbolism.
Of course if it embarrasses anyone, maybe they are reading the wrong book.
You can believe man or God, but rarely both. That includes listening to me or anybody else. That is why a correct biblical interpretation is so important. I suspect, that if the Lord could not expect anyone but a few special ones to understand any book in the Bible, He would have done it differently. It may come slow, but it will come. Understanding and interpreting the Bible, not necessarily as every religion sees it, but as it was written for us. It is the baseline for everything Godly.
Preachers, pastures, Priests, elders and others, are not in an of themselves Holy. Regardless of the denomination they represent. They may or may not preach a holy message but they are not holy. The past has certainly proved that. They are also in no way all bad as some would have them be. Many are incredible, but care needs to be taken in who they really represent and how they actually discern the Bible.
Heaven comes only through salvation which was earned via Jesus Christ on the cross. While there are many Godly things we should do, it is FAITH in Jesus Christ only, and not works, which paved the way to Heaven.
Lest anyone boast!
There once was a great woman. One of histories finest humanitarians. On her deathbed, she lamented, and worried she would not go to heaven because she just did not do enough good deeds. She was waiting for a “second judgment” which does not exist. Her belief was created by religion. This amazing and religious woman actually thought we earn our way to heaven. Salvation is a gift, and she did not know that. She was ignorant of the truth about Christ’s going to the Cross, and what that actually meant.
When I start thinking about Biblical things, I admit that I struggle to keep it to myself. I actually should not apologize for that because we are called precisely to share the Gospel as written and as it was meant to be. That said, I of course am fallible. That is a good reason to reach out to others. In this less than perfect world, unfortunately that can be disheartening and dangerous, but it needs to be done. I listened to and read a large variety of sorts of Bible interpretations until I could see the threads that carried the truth. Prayer is my greatest ally. One on one straight to almighty God. I am a sinner and I do not need other sinners for me to communicate with God. Remember, although there are fine denominational churches, those that are nondenominational or are only loosely tied to a denomination can more easily follow God and His Word first and foremost over religion……..but, they also require caution and due diligence. .
The “get rich with Jesus” ministries, and I use the word ministries loosely, are to be handled with much caution. You can in fact get rich with Jesus if your morals and faith are good, and you believe an honest interpretation of the Gospel, and that is what the Lord has in store for you. The vast majority of those so-called churches are in my opinion, frauds.
There are also those late night TV bandits who are only after your money. Take care of what you subscribe to
The good news is, truth and Godliness are alive and well, despite the multitude of attempts to squash it. God will not allow the world to be all lies. The truth can be found.
Truth and justice to all, and May God truly bless,
Wayne
