Clichés? Something that every photographer has to struggle with, is do I make pictures of those traditional subjects in traditional styles. If something is a cliché, should I stay away from it? My philosophy has always been to do what I want to do, the way I want to do it. You will make many pictures that are born inside of you and are unique. Those ‘done before” images are a part of you too. Don’t deny yourself any pictures you need to make. You know what my feelings are about being a photographer, we can do it all. Just an opinion.
Speaking of clichés, how about bees on flowers? I took some liberty with the final image as it is actually a Hover Fly.

It has been a while since I have mentioned photographers that I am friended with on Facebook, and for whom I have been enjoying their work. The first is Charles Glatzer from Shoot The Light Inc. Charles is a pro that offers workshops and more.
Guy Tal is a landscape artist specializing in the American southwest and well worth the look. He (of course) also teaches workshops.
These other two are exceptional amateurs. Any pro would be proud to call this work their own. Unfortunately those of you who are not on Facebook will not be able to see (I think) their work, but those of you who are, please visit Israeli photographer Yossi Eshbol’s page. Wow! I would also suggest European photographer Maarten Appel’s page. Both pages are in their native language but it is worth it just the same.
