Pot Luck

After the below images download they will slowly become clear.

This 3/4 grown Red Fox kit was one of my favorite individual foxes to photograph.  This was a couple of years ago and I often wonder how wildlife that I have known are doing today.

Our most common and most loveable shorebird, the Killdeer.

If shorebirds are fun, then their larger cousins the wading birds are fancy.  This Great Egret is trying to prove it.

I know…not a pretty sight.  Vultures and buzzards are among the most important birds we have.  They scour the land clean by eating food well past its prime.  An eagle or a hawk would die if they ate some of the carrion this Turkey Vulture would call a gourmet meal.  Notice the lack of feathers on the bird’s head.  This helps keep them free of blood and guts.  Yummy!

Autumn in Wisconsin’s / Michigan’s north woods is an experience not to be missed, but springtime in the Smokies is also a blessing.

There are many paths (leading lines?) in nature, and falling water is one of the most beautiful and intriguing.  Morgan Falls Wisconsin.

The state mammal of Colorado, the Bighorn Sheep. This image of a ram was made in South Dakota.  Bighorn Sheep are actually wild goats.  Mountain Goats are actually antelope.  Go figure!

Hopefully you found a few tasty morsels in today’s pot luck.  You all come back now.
