Being Half Fast

Now that I have got your attention.

It seems to me that being a success is all about personal inner peace.  We have all seen many people who make a lot of money, and/or have gained a lot of fame.  How many that you have seen appear to enjoy their success?

We all export what we are to those around us.  An unhappy person leaves unhappiness wherever they go.  Angry people hand out anger.  It is all they can do as they have nothing else to give.  Happy,  peaceful people offer those same qualities to those around them.  I don’t know about you but I have been a giver of good and bad.  It amazes me how when I am negative I attract the same.  When I have inner peace, that is what I get in return.

Like everyone reading this I have at times, blamed others for my problems.  Employers, friends, enemies and business associates have all been on my list.  Sometimes people can hurt you but in the end those people matter very little to our lives.  If you can justify your current life’s problems as being “the fault” of others, you will be doomed to failure.

One of the strongest human drives is rationalization.  Do you really think that Adolph Hitler sat around thinking he was this evil, terrible human being?  He rationalized what he did and made it okay in his own mind.  That is an extreme example but if you have never knowingly done something that was wrong and then through rationalizing that act, made it okay in your mind, then you are better than everyone else reading this post and you are certainly better than me.  My personal view is that we are all born a living part of all that is good (the spirit?) in this world.  We are also given freedom of choice.  Sometimes we just use rationalization to justify our bad choices.  Inside we never feel good about those bad choices.  Again it seems to me that when we do feel good about ourselves we spread that good like soft butter.

My personal belief is that we all come from the same source.  That source is infinitely good.  The more negative we are, the farther we move from that source.  We are only half full.  Maybe better said we are only Half Fast.  Sorry bout that!  The more we honor and acknowledge that source, the more we experience the peace and satisfaction it provides for us.   I am not a preacher and I respect everyone’s belief as long as they do not use that belief as an excuse (rationalization) to harm or discriminate against others.   In the end the pursuit of happiness is satisfied from the inside and from that source.

God Bless
