Passion First

To me anything or anybody worth spending time with and energy on, is worth being passionate about.  I think everyone who knows me can honestly say that I am passionate about nature photography.  I marry everything (but not everybody) that I commit to.

No matter what your interests are, as long as they are moral and legal they are worth a bucket full of passion.

Recent years have forced me to give up nature photography, but brand new images of nature still race through my head.  Every day.  For all of you that have met me through nature photography, be it 2, 6 or 20 years ago, I still stand by all of the standards I claimed when we first met.  The spirituality of a walk in nature.  My respect for all of my subjects in nature.  I have never sold out my beliefs because it was expedient, or profitable.  That may be one (just one) reason that I closed my photography business but if that is the case, I am proud to have placed these things above my own success.

Everyone reading this has passion.  We get let down a lot in life, and it can be easier to not embrace your passions.  I mean what if I do embrace them and it is not a great as I thought it would be?  I can tell you right now that it won’t be great for you.  That is because the passion has to come first.  When you allow something or someone to experience your passion, then it will be everything you want and need for it to be.  Passion first.  Satisfaction next. You will be satisfied with anything that you bring an honest passion to.

Thank you
